The 21th edition of the Beyond Borders Breakfast Debate will officially launch ACROSS: A New Data Hub for EU Border Regions, a new tool developed by DG REGIO and the Joint Research Centre (JRC) to make cross-border collaboration more effective and informed.
What’s the ACROSS Data Hub?
Developed by DG REGIO and the Joint Research Centre (JRC), the ACROSS Data Hub is a transformative platform that provides harmonised geospatial data and socioeconomic indicators tailored to the needs of EU border regions.
This new tool will empower policymakers and stakeholders with critical insights into key domains such as public transport, healthcare, and cross-border governance, helping to address obstacles and unlock the full potential of cross-border collaboration.
Despite progress, challenges remain in accessing high-quality, reliable, and up-to-date cross-border data—essential for evidence-based policymaking. The ACROSS Data Hub offers a solution, creating a one-stop platform to facilitate planning, implementation, and monitoring of policies across EU borders.
