How to further integrate labour markets across borders

The Border Focal Point Network (BFPN) announces the next edition of the “Beyond Borders: Breakfast Debate” series. This engaging series of online events aims to gather policymakers, stakeholders, and citizens to discuss the unique challenges and opportunities faced by those living in cross-border regions across the European Union.

The EC next ‘Beyond Borders: Breakfast Debate’ titled ‘How to further integrate labour markets across borders’, coming up online on Thursday 13 July 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 CET. Register HERE

Titled ‘How to further integrate labour markets across borders’, the event will delve into the future of labour market integration in cross-border regions. Successful practices that have brought labour markets closer together will be discussed, such as the establishment of cooperation structures, understanding cross-border issues like taxation, social security, and qualifications, and how b-solutions have helped overcome legal and administrative issues.

The discussion will also analyse the impact of Covid fencing on cross-border labour markets and explore the opportunities that emerged amid the closure of internal borders, subsequent to decades of integration.

The debate will feature an esteemed panel, including the following confirmed speakers:
